The MAC and NOC Recommend Support for Minneapolis

The Metroplitan Airports Commission (MAC) took action during its April 16, 2012 meeting to support the MSP Noise Oversight Committee's (NOC) recommendation regarding operational measures associated with northbound Runway 30R departures from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP).

Metropolitan Airports Commissioners will Meet in Minneapolis on March 19 at 7 p.m.

The Metropolitan Airports Commission will hold its March 19, 2012 Full Commission meeting at 7:00 p.m. at the Hale Community School in South Minneapolis, 1220 East 54th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55417. MSP Annual Noise Contour Analysis 2011 Now Available

Each year, the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) Noise Program Office develops an annual noise contour analysis (Analysis) that reflects aircraft noise conditions for the previous calendar year. Preparation of this Analysis is required under Section 8.1(d) of the approved Consent Decree and agreement between the MAC and the cities of Minneapolis, Eagan and Richfield.

The Technical Advisor's Report, Eagan-Mendota Heights Corridor Report, Runway 17 Departure Analysis Report and Crossing-in-the-Corridor Report for January 2012 are now available at www.macnoise.com/tools-reports/monthly-operations-reports

New Website Unveiled

For more than a decade, the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) Noise Program Office has published and maintained the macnoise.com website – solely dedicated to providing the public with pertinent information about airport and aircraft noise associated with each of its seven airports. Recently this site underwent a complete makeover and now offers both a new look and efficient access to sought-after data.

Next Public Input Meeting -- January 24, 2012

The next MSP Noise Public Input will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 7 p.m. at the MAC General Offices located at 6040 28th Avenue South, Minneapolis.

Members of the public are invited to attend this informative meeting to receive updated information on the MSP Noise Oversight Committee (NOC) activities and MSP aircraft operations and procedures. Additionally, those who attend the meeting are welcome to provide comments and voice concerns on airport noise issues.
