MSP Noise Oversight Committee Meeting on November 19Posted on November 5, 2014
The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) established the MSP Noise Oversight Committee (NOC) to bring together industry and community representatives to address aircraft noise issues at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP). The group meets bi-monthly on the third Wednesday of odd-numbered months.
The NOC met on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 1:30pm at the MAC General Offices Building, located at 6040 28th Avenue South, Minneapolis. Topics covered at the meeting included: Review of Operations Report Summary - September and October 2014; presentation on Air Traffic Control by the MSP Air Traffic Control Tower; Draft 2015 NOC Work Plan; MSP Fleet Mix Report; St. Louis Park and Edina Noise Monitoring Report; Aircraft Altitude Graphics; Review of the Status of FAA Center for Excellence/PARTNER, TRB and FICAN Initiatives; Aviation Environmental Design Tool Update; and Review of the October 28, 2014 Public Input Meeting.
Members of the public are welcome to attend NOC meetings. Members of the public who wish to speak during the Public Comment Period of a NOC meeting must make arrangements with their NOC representative prior to the meeting.
