New Website Help Video ReleasedPosted on September 27, 2017
The MAC Noise Office places a high priority on effective communications and transparency. That is why it recently released a new help video for its Interactive Reports website (www.macenvironement.org/reports). MAC staff created this video to help viewers better understand the data and navigate the website. This short tutorial provides a demonstration of basic website organization and functionality. New visitors to the website now have a means to get them started when exploring the wealth of information related to operation of the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. The video can be found in the HELP section of the website.
Additionally, a new Runway Use System by Flow tool was added to the website. At its regularly scheduled bi-monthly meeting, the Noise Oversight Committee (NOC) viewed a demonstration of the new tool. This enhancement is part of the 2017 NOC work plan and will augment already available data. In this section, users can investigate how often a particular runway use configuration is chosen by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Monthly and annual values are displayed and compared to previous years' data for reference. The data is available as a table or chart and will be updated daily.
