Spring Storm will Cause a Shift in Air Traffic PatternsPosted on April 13, 2018
You are probably aware that the metro area is expecting a storm system to move through the area beginning today through Sunday. This storm will bring heavy wet snow and strong northeasterly winds. Those conditions will contribute to unusual air traffic patterns at area airports and throughout the Twin Cities’ airspace through the weekend.
Beginning today, aircraft arriving at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) will land from the southwest on Runway 4 and depart to the northeast from Runway 4. We know that unusual operations can be disruptive and we appreciate your understanding and patience. Regular operations will resume as soon as the weather allows.
