The Most Popular MACNoise.com Web Tools Come to LifePosted on January 30, 2014
In 2013 a new video feature was unveiled on the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) Noise Program Office website, making it easy for members of the public to use the wide array of aircraft noise- and operations-related data, tools, features and information on the site.
This new development is part of an ongoing effort to provide effective educational resources to the public. When users access the first website tutorial video they will learn how to use the most popular features of the Noise Program Office website: "File a Noise Complaint," "FlightTracker" and "Do I Qualify" for Home Noise Mitigation?
A series of future videos in the planning phase will communicate helpful information on topics ranging from current aircraft noise, responses to the some of the most frequently asked questions, and maximizing the use of Noise Program Office website resources available on www.macnoise.com.
In addition, videos have been produced that highlight MSP Noise Oversight Committee (NOC) activities. These videos share presentations that were given by subject matter experts during the most recent NOC meeting on topics including Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Air Traffic Control (ATC) operations at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) and the MAC's Capital Improvement Program (CIP), fundamentals of aircraft noise measurement and more.
