MSP Noise Oversight Committee Meeting on March 18Posted on March 4, 2015
The Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) established the MSP Noise Oversight Committee (NOC) to bring together industry and community representatives to address aircraft noise issues at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP). The group meets bi-monthly on the third Wednesday of odd-numbered months.
The NOC met on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 1:30pm at the Richfield Municipal Center, located at 6700 Portland Avenue South, Richfield. Topics that were covered during the meeting include: Review of Operations Summary Report - January and February 2015; presentation on Runway Use System and RNAV STAR update by the FAA Air Traffic Manager for MSP; presentation on the MSP 2035 Long Term Comprehensive Plan by the MAC Airport Planner; 2014 Annual Noise Contour Report; Nighttime Operations Assessment; and review of the January 28, 2015 MSP Listening Session.
The Next MSP NOC meeting is scheduled for May 20, 2015, and the meeting will be held at the MAC General Office Building at 6040 28th Avenue South, Minneapolis.
Members of the public are welcome to attend NOC meetings. Members of the public who wish to speak during the Public Comment Period of a NOC meeting must make arrangements with their NOC representative prior to the meeting.
