2014 NOC Work Plan ApprovedPosted on December 17, 2013
Each year, the MSP Noise Oversight Committee (NOC) establishes an annual Work Plan. The 2014 NOC Work Plan was approved during the Metropolitan Airports Commission meeting on December 16, 2013. The approved 2014 NOC Work Plan includes the development and implementation of enhanced flight track altitude analysis, an evaluation of the Runway Use System at MSP, an evaluation of seasonal impacts on aircraft operations levels and performance, a validation study of the MAC Noise and Operations Monitoring System (MACNOMS) and an update on compliance with Runway 12L runway-end departure turn efforts. Also included in the 2014 NOC Work Plan are guest speakers who will present information on aviation, airport operations and airport noise-related topics. In addition, the 2014 NOC Work Plan calls for continuing reviews of public input, fleet mix trends, nighttime operations and residential noise mitigation program status.
The NOC meets bi-monthly on the third Wednesday of odd-numbered months. Meetings begin at 1:30 p.m. and are held at the MAC's General Offices Building. Members of the public are welcome to attend NOC meetings. Check our calendar for details.
